Personal Power Oracle by Deja Drewit

Includes 45 cards and a colored guidebook.  This is a deck for personal growth that promotes confidence, self-love, self-esteem and self-worth. Each card was drawn and painted by Deja and printed 400 GSM 2.45" x 3.95 matte card stock.

The guidebook contains: 

• A picture of the card in full color
• Famous quotes with a little paragraph about the quote
• Journal prompts 
• A brief description of the card; and
• Key words

Pros:

• The artwork is visually appealing. Every drawing has so much impact and detail that it leaves you really absorbing the power behind it.
• Each card can be used decoration.
• The card stock is sturdy.
• The cards shuffle well and do not stick together.
• The magnetic box is sturdy and the attention to detail is reflected here too.
• The backs are so perfect. This is the second edition which includes silver foiled backs.
• The edging is a magenta color that gives the deck an extra bit of flair.

Cons: 

• The size. These cards are smaller than your "average" oracle deck, but not in the way where it hinders the read or impact.
• The price, again, this is more of personal preference and has a lot to do with being an indie deck that costs more to produce. The price is subjective to the buyer. 

Summary: I am very happy with my purchase. I have put them to work in the last couple weeks and the messages have been beautifully delivered. I will continue to support her with all other deck creations.

What happens when you come down from the high of kilig? Love is simply not just a feeling. Love isn't just the highs. Love doesn't have to be romantic either. This is what I had in mind while creating this deck."

My thoughts on this deck: 

Pros:

• This is a fun deck suitable for all ages, but catered to the young and young at heart. Both teens and adults can enjoy this deck equally as much.
• The colors are vibrant and there are messages with artwork not traditionally seen in the divination realm. 
• The card stock is sturdy
• The cards shuffle well and do not stick together The price is reasonable for an independently produced deck (retails at $38) 

Cons: 

• The tuck box is BEAUTIFUL, but will not protect your cards well over time. It is not suitable for travel. The campaign did include a velvet bag, which is a great way to store them, but also not suitable for travel. I personally take all my decks out of their boxes anyway so this is not a true con for me, but is something to think about if the boxes are important to you.
• The deck is currently sold out and after speaking with the creator, will not be coming back in stock unless there is a large enough demand. This is common for indie creators and although disappointing for those who would like to purchase it, is not a huge con for me either. This is why it is VERY IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT INDIE CREATORS!

My thoughts on this deck:  

Pros: 

• The artwork is STUNNING! Each card has vibrant colors! 
• Diversity: There are goddesses from different cultures. 
• Can be used as an oracle deck or alter cards.  
• Can be used for artwork. 
• The card stock is great for the price range. 
• Easy to vertically riffle shuffle. 
• The box is cute and sturdy. 
• The pricing is within most budgets. 

Cons:

• The guidebook could have more detail. Each goddess description is a very short paragraph and may not be understood fully by newer readers. 
• The card stock! (I know I said I liked it for the price range but it’s also a bit flimsy) I feel like over time the edges will fray and the deck itself will be curved/bent. I’ve had mine for about two months and have used it about ten times and it’s already curving up. 
• Overhand and riffle shuffling horizontally might be difficult. The cards are long and will not fit most hand sizes. Best to split and spread, overhand shuffle vertically or riffle shuffle vertically.

My thoughts on this deck:  

Pros: 

• The artwork is unique, especially for an oracle deck. You truly get a feel for the collaboration between the creator and the artist and it is beautifully executed.  
• The deck is diverse in the sense that a part of the Asian culture, which is under-represented in divination cards, is brought to the forefront and celebrated masterfully.  
• The artwork on this deck is so striking that you can frame it or use it for decor.  
• The card stock is sturdy. The box is cute and sturdy. Handles well in luggage.   

Cons:  

• The Price: The deck cost $55 USD before taxes and shipping. This can add up. Do I think it is worth it? If you have the money to spend, absolutely. Because this deck is high quality this is NOT a true con for me, but rather a heads up that it may take some saving for those who would not normally spend much for a deck of cards. 

Reminder: this is an independently produced deck. The cost will always be higher for an indie deck over a massed produced one. 

• Shuffling can get a little sticky. Again, because the card stock is very good, the thickness and the matteness of the cards can make them stick together. There are some tricks to combating this on a fresh deck, but with some use this will become less of an “issue”.

My thoughts on this deck:  

Pros: 

• The artwork is cute and if you’re a true fan of Friends you’ll find some hidden gems. If you’re not really a die hard you can still enjoy it. 
• Rider Waite style.
• Easy to riffle shuffle. 
• The box is cute and sturdy. 
• The pricing is within most budgets.  

Cons: 

• There is no guidebook. 
• Not beginner friendly. 
• Those who are not die hard fans might find some images hard to interpret so this deck is mostly geared toward intermediate and advanced readers.
• The card stock! It’s really thin. This is personal preference. I feel like over time the edges will fray and the deck itself will be curved/bent. 
• Overhand shuffling might be difficult as the cards are super slippery and may be hard to control, but this depends on your skill level.
